Production notes

An illustrated motion study

The scene combines newly AI-generated illustrations with animation authored in code. The character artwork and environment provide the visual layers; a rig controls how those layers move over time.

Illustration

The environment and character illustration assets were generated for this study using the built-in image-generation tool. The production preserves the established characters: a child with a small toy and an anonymous adult in a purple cloak.

Animation

The child anticipates, raises the toy toward the adult, waits for a delayed hood turn and nod, then settles. Both figures keep their feet planted. A mesh bends the clothing while the hands and toy move together. The faces remain fixed illustrations. This is a cutout motion study, with limited character articulation.

The eight-second film is rendered at 1920 × 1080, 24 frames per second. It is silent, with no dialogue or music. The animation code is licensed GPL-3.0-only; the illustration assets were generated for this study.

Presentation

The film keeps its full frame and uses the browser's video controls. Titles and credits sit outside the picture so the movement stays visible.

Earlier work

The earlier AI-generated video preview remains available as an archive, with its original prompts and production materials.
